In 1984, OKI established itself in Europe located in Dusseldorf as part of the OKI group's globalisation strategy. At this time OKI's core printer business was centred around Dot Matrix printers. These ribbon based impact printers were and continue to be so robust, they work in any environment, go on for several years and are still a core part of OKI's business today.

1990 was a key year for the EMEA organisation.

The group was determined to achieve its vision of globalisation and the purchase of Technitron, a trading company specialising in processing equipment, signified OKI’s clear strategy for global expansion into Europe. 

Through this purchase, OKI absorbed the sales subsidiaries of Technitron in 7 European countries – Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK. 

This new network covered 80% of printer sales in Europe, making it a fundamental turning point for OKI’s position in the printer market and was to become the company’s most phenomenal area of expansion and success to date.  From this expansion OKI’s printer business continued to grow from strength to strength and today OKI Europe has operations in 23 countries within EMEA and is celebrating three decades of innovation including the ground-breaking launch of Europe’s first LED printer in 1989 and several more ground-breaking ‘industry firsts'.


OKI DICOM Printers are friendly, easy-to-use print solutions that are able to receive images from any DICOM compliant modality with a Print SCU capability. OKI DICOM Printers can handle multiple, simultaneous associations and can log the network exchange for the purpose of analysis.


They also provide Dmin, Dmax and gamma image value adjustment for each individual color. An SMPTE Test Print button has been provided for adjusting image rendering.

These printers allow making inexpensive, non-diagnostic, colour prints directly from the imaging modality workstation for the referring physician and patients. The technologist can print DICOM files directly from the modality without the need to first store and print from PACS.

Cost-effectively printing medical imaging on specialist media and devices in vibrant colour, the C610 DM combines the high-quality output of an LED printer with embedded DICOM software, allowing organisations to print directly from medical equipment without the use of conversion software or external print servers.


Printing in sizes up to A4, the flexible C610 DM also efficiently produces letters, reports and other general office output.

Combining digital LED printing technology with embedded DIACOM software, the sophisticated C711 DM seamlessly integrates with clinical systems, enabling dentists, vets, hospitals and clinics to print medical imaging on standard media formats in vibrant, HD colour and in sizes up to A4. Cost-effective and versatile, alongside non-diagnostic images the C711 DM is also ideal for general office printing.

The high-performance C831 DM combines high-quality digital LED technology with embedded DICOM software, enabling organisations to print directly from medical equipment. An ideal alternative to expensive printing on specialist media and devices, the C831 DM provides the flexibility to print medical imaging in vibrant, HD colour and in sizes up to A3, without conversion software or external print servers.
