IPA (18L)

Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is a fast-evaporating solvent used in SLA 3D printing—especially with Formlabs printers—to clean uncured liquid resin from printed parts after they come out of the build platform.
In the Formlabs workflow (e.g., Form 3, Form 4), freshly printed parts are covered in a thin layer of uncured photopolymer resin, and IPA is used in a wash station (such as Form Wash) or a manual bath to dissolve and remove this excess material before post-curing.
Proper IPA washing improves surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and biocompatibility performance (for certified resins), and prevents sticky surfaces or incomplete curing. T
